One last try?

So you start something very enthusiastically, with a dedication to never leave it halfway, to make that thing (or maybe a person!) your life, your everything! but all of a sudden, few distractions, maybe lack of interest, boredom or your own indecisiveness makes you give up all of it!

The question being: Isn't that one thing or person worth a little patience from your side? Just one last try to make it happen? Are we willing to just give it all up for silly reasons? Why do we always give up when the going gets tough?

Maybe we expect a lot from everything we try to do, from each and every person around us, and when our expectations and reality doesn't match, we feel its not meant for us. But to make something happen, a strong will, lots of efforts, hard-work and a sincere wish in our heart to make it happen is essential.

Its not like one day you get up and suddenly decide to do something and since you don't succeed, by the end of the day, you give it up! Its not easy to give up something that's close to your heart. And if you do give up on it, it never was close to your heart! You have to try every possible way, or in other words, every Jugaad to make it happen because even if its written in god's plans, you still have to work to achieve it. (Remember: God helps those who help themselves!)

So don't just give up on it, you never know how close you are to your final reward! You cannot leave something that's become an indispensable part of your life, you cannot just walk away because things didn't go your way or the way you had expected things to be like, you can always try and make things work. Moreover, its hard to give up on something that's close to one's heart, right?

And remember, When the going gets tough, the tough gets going! Stay Happy! :)

(Un)conditional Love!

Sitting on the couch, having my cold coffee, with a diary and pen in my hand, was thinking what to write next... so I scribble over the sheet, then give it a look again and just scrap it because nothing interests me ..... But I finally manage to have something that at least makes lots of sense to me and maybe appeal to a few out there ( maybe! )

Sometimes I wonder the reason for our existence, reason for being in this world, and I find a few vague answers in my head but not what might exactly answer my question! Since I was a kid I was told we're here because we're all part of God's plan. We are all HIS puppets, the strings lie with HIM, he is our script writer ( and a very good one at it, I must say! ). Every person has his share of highs and lows, twists and turns, surprises and shocks - Everything being a result of the Almighty's plan for us!

We all know that whatever HE does, is for our good. Yet, most of the time, we end up questioning his ways and his plans for us. There's a Doubting Thomas in each of us, so much so that we don't even trust god with anything, let alone other fellow beings or homo-sapiens around us. We're hypocrites too, if you come to think of it, any bad that happens with us is bad luck and we-don't-deserve-it and blah blah, but something wrong that happens in others lives is the result of their karma! Really?

So when a really good thing happens in your life, you're all happy and cheerful, and we feel our happiness is all because of our own efforts and hard work and whatever you would like to call - basically we just take all the credits for ourselves! but when something bad happens, we right-away blame HIM for everything, instead of searching for our mistake we blame HIM. So its like in good times you are all "I-Me-Myself-And-My-Dear-Ones" and in bad times, "HE-always-lets-me-down".

HE doesn't come up to us and say that "Hey anything good that happens in your life is because I want you to be happy, so don't take the credit". Instead, he says,"My child, my happiness lies in your well-being, ups and downs are a part of life, but I'll always be there to guard and protect you".

So maybe in all this, I did find the answer to my question, and I realized one more thing, that our love for HIM is Conditional, while HE loves us Unconditionally. Maybe that's something we should learn, and start loving people around us without any (*) Conditions apply tag and Expectations .

That way our lives can be a bit more worth living! Stay Happy! :)

Strange ways of the Heart!

Often your heart and mind stops working, it just refuses to see logic, there's no reasoning with it. A feeling like something is slipping away from you, a feeling that people are leaving you -alone, hurt, to fend for yourself. *terrible feeling*

Suddenly while all of this is going on in my head, a song that suits the mood and situation plays on the radio ... "Kitne ajeeb rishte yahaan pe ... do pal milte hai, saath saath chalte hai, jab mod aaye toh bachke nikalte hai ... ".  It just fits perfectly for all the thoughts running in my head!

One fine bright morning, someone shows up in your life and brightens your day with a promise to stay on forever with you. A Promise - to be there for you, to be there with you, to control your anger, to share your happiness, to put a smile on your Face, to make you feel Loved and Wanted. Someone who values your presence in their life, just like you do!

Everything goes on just fine, idhar udhar ki baatein, little tiffs and 'nok-jhoks' occasionally, but all of it just increases the Pyaaarr! ;) You get addicted to that one person, Your life is entwined with theirs, their sadness and Joys become yours ( and Vice-Versa! ). You look up-to that person for advice, for a shoulder to cry on, they become your confession page, your Punching bag too!  That person can handle you at your worst and definitely at your best! Loves you for what you are, notices every little thing you do or say, And you feel every piece of the puzzle falling into its place, making sense.

So all goes on perfectly buuuut oh wait! Life suddenly decides to throw a surprise/shock/twist (whatever you may like to call it) at you! Petty issues escalate to a higher level all of a sudden, neither of you see sense or logic in anything the other says, fights, insecurities, jealousy (maybe) , sour the relationship you shared! ... all the trust, love, etc. goes for a toss ...

Sometimes too much of familiarity, breeds contempt. Sometimes we have to learn to accommodate each others feelings, a little bit of adjustment on our part is required ( like the (*) asterisks sign which tells us it is mandatory ).  It will gradually fall into place, only little time, space and freedom will make it all OKAY! Even if it doesn't; let things happen, go with the flow. And remember whatever happens, happens for the best!

But in all this do not forget to keep smiling and be happy... because someone told me "When you smile and be happy, my heart feels happy!" Maybe your smile will make someone's heart happy, you never know, right? ;)

P.s:- While reading the post, you would have had someone on your mind all the while, maybe a friend, best friend, someone from the family, it can be just anyone! keep that one person always close to your heart ... because that person won't leave you even in the darkest hour of your life!

Bottled up Emotions !

What do you call that feeling when your heart and mind refuses to feel anything at all? When suddenly one moment you're happy and the next moment you're clueless about what you feel. Strange, very strange. Sometimes everything seems so right and perfect. And, there are times when nothing seems to be right. Moments like those when you feel that everyone around you can be trusted and then there are moments where trusting your own self becomes a task.

Have we stopped listening to our hearts? Has our mind overpowered our heart? Have we lost 'genuineness' & 'love' & 'joy' , all just for two minutes of fame, wealth and momentary pleasures? Yes. We have forgotten to believe what our hearts have to tell us. The competitive and selfish ways of the modern world have somewhere killed the 'genuineness' in people.

Today, everyone around is as good as the mannequins we see in malls they're all pretending to be happy - both for others and one's own self. We're leading fake lives. Today when we see other people progress in their lives, do we feel happy for them? Or do we start finding ways to put them down and leave them behind? If someone is dressed better than you or has a better car, more money, better house, we feel less. We feel low. And our immediate reaction is to put them down and bring them disgrace. And we even do this to people who are extremely close to us.

We put on a fake smile and compel people to believe that we are their well wisher. While the story is something else. We speak behind their back. There are two sides of a coin. But now I take the liberty to say that, people have multiple faces. And these faces change as per one's own convenience, situation and company. We cannot make out whether a person is true or not. Sometimes people don't even care about whom they're talking. No matter how close you are to anyone, for at least once you'll be spoken about behind your back and you'll not even know.

But then there's always a ray of hope. There is still little humanity left in us. I believe it does exist. We just have to discover it from beneath the worldly covers, material wealth, golds, silks and the multiple faces we wear.

We're missing on the little joys of life, while we're busy being fake and artificial and playing cheap tricks and politics. We have to know that each one of us is here with a purpose and the time we have at hand is limited. We need not necessarily get involved in such dirty games, cheap tricks, etc. Because lord almighty has created us with a purpose that is way more important than all this.

Can we have some real relationships?  Some more love among people? Some real joy and happiness? Can we, for once, be happy for others? Can we be the reason for others happiness? Can we bring a smile on someone's face and brighten up someone's day? Can we put all our differences behind us and make peace with ourselves first, and then with everyone and everything we dislike?

It will only take little bit of effort on our part. And yes, we can. We need to rise up from these shallow things because Hey! You never know if you're meeting that person again! Or if you're doing that thing again or maybe if you're ever going to see the light of the day again!

And as shakespeare said, " All the world is a stage, and all men and women are players..." And someone up there is keeping a watch on us. And he'll ask us if we did brighten up someone's day? If we were selfless ? If we were true and humble ? All this will have to be answered! Plus there's something like Karma, that counts.

So start feeling and being real, from this moment on. Be happy, smile, spread happiness, be happy for others and yourself, too. Value and respect people, relationships and feelings.
