Bottled up Emotions !

What do you call that feeling when your heart and mind refuses to feel anything at all? When suddenly one moment you're happy and the next moment you're clueless about what you feel. Strange, very strange. Sometimes everything seems so right and perfect. And, there are times when nothing seems to be right. Moments like those when you feel that everyone around you can be trusted and then there are moments where trusting your own self becomes a task.

Have we stopped listening to our hearts? Has our mind overpowered our heart? Have we lost 'genuineness' & 'love' & 'joy' , all just for two minutes of fame, wealth and momentary pleasures? Yes. We have forgotten to believe what our hearts have to tell us. The competitive and selfish ways of the modern world have somewhere killed the 'genuineness' in people.

Today, everyone around is as good as the mannequins we see in malls they're all pretending to be happy - both for others and one's own self. We're leading fake lives. Today when we see other people progress in their lives, do we feel happy for them? Or do we start finding ways to put them down and leave them behind? If someone is dressed better than you or has a better car, more money, better house, we feel less. We feel low. And our immediate reaction is to put them down and bring them disgrace. And we even do this to people who are extremely close to us.

We put on a fake smile and compel people to believe that we are their well wisher. While the story is something else. We speak behind their back. There are two sides of a coin. But now I take the liberty to say that, people have multiple faces. And these faces change as per one's own convenience, situation and company. We cannot make out whether a person is true or not. Sometimes people don't even care about whom they're talking. No matter how close you are to anyone, for at least once you'll be spoken about behind your back and you'll not even know.

But then there's always a ray of hope. There is still little humanity left in us. I believe it does exist. We just have to discover it from beneath the worldly covers, material wealth, golds, silks and the multiple faces we wear.

We're missing on the little joys of life, while we're busy being fake and artificial and playing cheap tricks and politics. We have to know that each one of us is here with a purpose and the time we have at hand is limited. We need not necessarily get involved in such dirty games, cheap tricks, etc. Because lord almighty has created us with a purpose that is way more important than all this.

Can we have some real relationships?  Some more love among people? Some real joy and happiness? Can we, for once, be happy for others? Can we be the reason for others happiness? Can we bring a smile on someone's face and brighten up someone's day? Can we put all our differences behind us and make peace with ourselves first, and then with everyone and everything we dislike?

It will only take little bit of effort on our part. And yes, we can. We need to rise up from these shallow things because Hey! You never know if you're meeting that person again! Or if you're doing that thing again or maybe if you're ever going to see the light of the day again!

And as shakespeare said, " All the world is a stage, and all men and women are players..." And someone up there is keeping a watch on us. And he'll ask us if we did brighten up someone's day? If we were selfless ? If we were true and humble ? All this will have to be answered! Plus there's something like Karma, that counts.

So start feeling and being real, from this moment on. Be happy, smile, spread happiness, be happy for others and yourself, too. Value and respect people, relationships and feelings.

  2. totally agree with you on the roller coaster bit, and it is quite amazing how people can say such vile and dispecable things when no one is around and then in front of others act as if they are incapable of saying any bad work. Others talk about the person once they have left the place. Unfortunatly, such people are believed and trusted. Such people exist even in families and work places, and some have the misfortune of living and experiencing all this on a daily basis. They dont fight back for lack of courage, but because they respect others feelings...sorry...got a bit carried away...lovely write up :)

    2. I know, if you say something have the guts to accept it or just don't say it at all, as simple as that, but pretending to be all goody-goody when the real story is something else is absolutely nonsense! Need more 'real' people in this world!
Thanks for reading and sharing your views! :)
